We use a nontraditional approach to rehabilitation that focuses on functional training, movement reeducation, a holistic integration of mind and body and a smooth progression from rehabilitation to fitness. This unique approach empowers patients to take charge of their own recovery and restore their overall fitness and well-being. Pilates Fitness & Physical Therapy Center delivers scientific evaluation of injury and multidisciplinary approaches to therapy.

Manual treatments include joint, soft-tissue and neural mobilization. Pilates Fitness & Physical Therapy Center integrates manual therapy with neuromuscular re-education in the Pilates and GYROTONIC® movement environments.

How Pilates-Based Physical Therapy Can Help

Our physical therapist works with one patient at a time for half an hour per session. Our highly skilled, problem-solving therapist coordinates with your physician to optimize your continuum of care. We build treatment programs with respect to each individual patient.

Conditions We Treat with Physical Therapy

Your care begins with a thorough evaluation. After pinpointing the source of the problem, our physical therapist creates a personalized treatment plan designed to restore functional mobility.  We treat most musculoskeletal dysfunctions, sports injuries and neurological disorders. Ron Jegadeesh uses the GYROTONIC® expansion method and Pilates as part of his physical therapy treatment.

The prescription from your doctor should dictate your frequency (typically2-3 times per week) for a specific duration (such as for 6 weeks). We recommend scheduling your appointments as far in advance as possible.

The average active person doing 2-3 classes per week should see some results within 10-12 classes. This will vary depending on each individual and other factors such as the number of classes a person takes each week, whether they are private or group classes, whether they participate in other physical activities, and whether they have any existing injuries. It is also important to work with a well-trained Certified Instructor.

At least 5 to 10 sessions. Most clients prefer to work with a trainer for more sessions.

Two to three times a week. Two times is good for beginners. You always start out with a trainer to get familiar with the machines and get your customized workout program.

I took my first ever Pilates class with Emy Bezbatchenko. The group class included beginner, intermediate, and advance Pilates clientele. Emy did an incredible job supporting while also challenging every client. When it comes to anatomy, she was able to simplify the complex - which really helped me understand how to most efficiently use my body to exercise safely and effectively. For example, she was able to teach me how to utilize my abdomen correctly while exercising - this simple fix has saved me so much lower back pain! Lastly, she makes the class really fun! She is engaging and upbeat - I plan to keep going back. Overall, very fun, educational, and rewarding class.

PFPTC is a great place to go for Pilates. At 82 years old, I realized the stiffness and soreness I was experiencing in my body could only be helped with a regular routine of guided stretching. I was so happy to find this studio that also offers Gyrotonic stretching. By purchasing one of the packages, the cost is affordable. It allows me to take two classes a week. I take one Pilates and one Gyrotonic class each week. After about five weeks, I see new definition in my muscles, I am more stable when I walk, and my posture is improving. All of the instructors are certified and well trained to help you with healthy aging. These classes are my "for the rest of my life" commitment. My body has gone from flab headed toward fine.

This company is a gem for fitness and physical strengthening. I have been goingt to PFP for years. I workout with weights as well. PFP. relieves sorness, tightness, less recovery time from lifting weights,
